Galapagos Conservation

The Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) was established in 1995 as a UK registered charity (No. 1043470) and a company limited by guarantee (No. 3004112).

Our Vision

Our vision is of the Galapagos Archipelago conserved and sustained in perpetuity for the benefit of its unique wildlife on land and at sea, and for humankind, both locally and worldwide.

Our Mission

GCT promotes conservation and sustainability in the Galapagos Archipelago, through partnership programmes focused on science, education and culture, both in the Islands themselves and through links with the United Kingdom.

What We Do

Our work focuses on science, education and culture in Galapagos, often interacting and working together. To achieve successful conservation and sustainability, we fund scientific research and analysis, promote education and training, and support good citizenship and cultural exchange.

How We Do It

  • As a membership organisation we attract and listen to people who share our vision.
  • Efficient and effective partnerships ensure that we achieve our targets.
  • Fundraising enables us to engage our supporters and strengthen our partners.
  • Grant-making advances our mission through projects on the ground and in the seas.
